Apply to become our event production intern!

The Student Union of the University of Helsinki (HYY) is a corporation subject to public law, with 26,000 university students as members. It acts as an advocacy and service organisation for its members and for the organisations operating under it.

We are looking for an event production intern to join our ranks for the period 24 January–10 June 2022.

We expect our intern to already have accumulated experience of event production and communication. We especially appreciate creativity, project management skills, a systematic nature, an independent approach to work and a productive attitude. Experience of student organisations and working with volunteers is also considered as an advantage. In your internship, you will be helping our event producer with the production of HYY’s events in spring 2022, such as the Crowning of Manta and the Grand Sitsit. In addition to this, you will also get to lead the production of HYY’s May Day event for interest groups and the Flora campus festival.

The event production intern’s position is perfectly suited as the last internship position before graduation for students of event or cultural production in the latter stages of their studies. You can also apply for the position if you have solid experience of organisational activities and the organisation of student events alongside your studies.

We provide a salary for the internship (€1,500/month). We also provide a nice and relaxed work community, workspace at the New Student House in downtown Helsinki and the necessary work equipment.

All applications will be acknowledged as received. Interviews will be held during weeks 49–50. The selection will be confirmed after 14 December, once HYY’s Representative Council has approved the budget for 2022.
