Come spruce up your overalls!

Do you have a bunch of overall badges at home just waiting to be sewn onto your overalls?  Join HYY’s sewing evening to get your overalls into shape for May Day!

The event is held at 6 pm on 22 April in Wilhelmsson Hall (New Student House, 5th floor). Besides sewing, you can also play some board games or just enjoy the good company. We will also be serving coffee, tea and something sweet on the side. Join the fun!

Accessibility at the event

You do not need to sign up for the event separately. The event does not have an entrance fee. Assistants and interpreters can join the event for free.

At HYY’s events, you can participate in discussions and activities without fear of inappropriate treatment or harassment. Safe space  is created in the interaction between people, and each one of us is responsible for this.

You can participate in the event in Finnish, Swedish and English.

Wilhelmsson Hall is located on the 5th floor of the New Student House at Mannerheimintie 5 A. The location has good public transport connections from the Helsinki central railway station, for instance, where you can arrive by bus, metro or tram. Wilhelmsson is not a fully accessible space.

• You can access the space by using a platform lift and a lift. Doorways on the route are narrower than 900 mm in places and may also have thresholds higher than 20 mm.
• A right-handed accessible toilet is located on a different floor than the event space.
• An induction loop borrowed from our Services Office can be used on the premises. Please let us know if you need to use an induction loop in advance by contacting the event’s contact person.
• The space may become hot or crowded with a lot of participants.
• The space may have bright lights, loud noises or strong smells. There is no separately reserved silent room to retreat to next to the space.
• You can bring an assistance or guide dog into the space.
