Welcome to Finland 2026

Welcome to Finland!

HYY is arranging a welcome event for new international students. Come try different Finnish snacks, test your knowledge of Finnish life, and get to know other international students! The event will be held on 14 September at 5-7 pm at Wilhelmsson, Domus Gaudium (-1 floor). Domus Gaudium is located at Leppäsuonkatu 11. The event is free, but you should sign up for the event by 11 September. Signing up for the event helps the organisers to get enough snacks for everyone!

Accessibility at the event

We hope that you sign up for the event. The event does not have an entrance fee. Assistants and interpreters can join the event for free.

At HYY’s events, you can participate in discussions and activities without fear of inappropriate treatment or harassment. Safe space is created in the interaction between people, and each one of us is responsible for this.

The language used in the event is English.

Wilhelmsson is an accessible space.

• You can access the space by using a lift. More accessability information about the space is available here.
• An induction loop borrowed from our Services Office can be used on the premises. Please let us know if you need to use an induction loop in advance by contacting the event’s contact person.
• The space may become hot or crowded with a lot of participants.
• The space may have bright lights, loud noises or strong smells. There is no separately reserved silent room to retreat to next to the space.
• You can bring an assistance or guide dog into the space.
