The Student Union of the University of Helsinki to begin change negotiations

In accordance with the Co-operation Act, the Student Union of the University of Helsinki is initiating limited change negotiations on financial and production-related grounds as well as grounds arising from the restructuring of the employer’s operations.

Underlying the weakened financial situation are the financial challenges and radical changes in the operating environment of Ylva, the group owned by the Student Union. These have a significant impact on the amount of profits the group can distribute to the Student Union. The Student Union’s Board is submitting a plan for making other savings and adjustment efforts to the Representative Council in its budget proposal for 2024. The Student Union’s Representative Council will decide on the 2024 budget in December.
