  1. Situation report on the coronavirus

 

The organisational sector is reviewing the coronavirus situation every two weeks and will inform you of the situation with the restrictions as well as other possible matters related to the coronavirus situation in the newsletter for organisations.

Event though the coronavirus situation has worsened, are the previously announced restrictions still in effect.

  1. Organisation Contests 2020 are coming soon!

Organisations, are you ready? Organisation Contests, organised by Student Organisations Committee are coming next week! The contest opens on Wednesday 21 October.
This year we are searching for winners in these categories:

  • Organisation paper of the year
  • Overall badge of the year
  • Sitsi song of the year
  • Advocacy act of the year
  • Environmental act of the year
  • Community act of the year

More information about the competition categories and how to participate will be sent next week.

3. Join our training session on harassment situations in organisational activities on Tuesday 20 October

 

The training session for harassment situations in organisational activities is organised at 5.00 pm on Tuesday 20 October. The language of the training is Finnish.

Registration is open until 12.00 pm on 19 October.

This training session focuses on identifying harassment and inappropriate treatment as well as on related legislation and good practices for processing and preventing harassment situations in organisational activities in particular. The training sessions are aimed at the harassment contact persons and people in charge of equality or event safety in organisations operating under HYY as well as anyone else interested in the theme. The training will be customised based on the participants’ wishes.

  1. HYY’s Equality Meeting on 22 October

 

Welcome to the second Equality Meeting of this year on Wednesday 22 October 5pm! The evening is aimed at organisations’ equality responsable and anyone interested in equality. The event is organised by HYY’s Community Development Committee (Code). Because of coronavirus, we are meeting remotely in Zoom.

At the meeting you will have the opportunity to meet other equality responsables, share thoughts, discuss best practices and hear what’s been up with HYY’s equality sector. During the meeting, HYY will present the Student Union’s new Equality Plan. Come spend an evening filled with peer support and discussions around an important theme!
