1. Organisation sector is on vacation from 19 Dec – 6 Jan
Great thanks from us to all the organisation people (and bonus points for the ones reading this newsletter) for this year! It has been a pleasure to meat you face-to-face this year, and we’ll continue that next year as well.
In 2025 HYY’s operation grants will be considerably smaller than before. We have together with the financial committee tried to develop the grant-model in such way, that even larger portion of the grants would be directed to those organisations that need the grants the most. We also changed the schedule: operating grant applications will be open during March and the grants will be paid in fall.
Follow the organisation newsletter at the beginning of the year and tell your successors to do so as well, so you’ll have all the relevant information right in your inbox.
Other important dates for the beginning of the year:
The organization information form opens in early January, and it must be filled out by 16 February
Tuning day will be 12 February

Little HYY will be on a break 23 Dec 2024-1 Jan 2025. Reservations for the spring will be accepted from 2 Jan 2025. Little HYY will be open as usual from 3 Jan onwards.

4. Would your organisation like to showcase your activities to new international students?
It is possible for student organisations within HYY to participate in the Check-in event for international exchange students on 9 Jan 2025. Sign your organisation up by 5 Jan 2025.

The University is looking for members for a new group called International University Community to advance equality and inclusion of internationals. Apply by January 15!
