1 Alina Hall’s reservation rounds for spring 2023 have ended
Alina Hall’s reservation rounds for spring 2023 have ended. Almost all reservations for January–April were picked up during the rounds, and many of the requests during the second round in particular clashed with one another. For this reason, we were unable to allocate reservations to all organisations during the round. However, some free slots remain for May, and booking these will be possible directly from HYY’s Services Office from 29 November onwards.
In spring 2023, Alina will also be a more accessible space, as the hall can be accessed by lift very soon! You can look for any free slots for the spring in HYY’s reservation calendar
Any remaining slots can be reserved by contacting the Services Office at toimisto@hyy.fi.
2 Sign up your student organisation for the Students’ Independence Day Torchlight Procession!
Sign up your student organisation for the Students’ Independence Day Torchlight Procession using the attached form! Using the form, please tell us whether your organisation is participating with your flag in placing the wreaths at Sankariristi and the procession or just the procession. Please fill in the form as soon as possible and by 11.59 pm on 4 December 2022 at the latest.
The event is organised by the student unions of the Capital Region: HYY, AYY, ArtSU, SHS, Kadettitoverikunta and Metka.
3 Take part in the Down a Degree campaign
The energy crisis brought on by Russia’s war of aggression will affect all of Finland this coming winter. We at HYY are taking a proactive approach to the preparations for the coming energy shortage by launching various energy-saving campaigns in our properties this autumn as part of the national Down a Degree campaign. These measures are necessary in order for us to avoid possible power cuts, for example, during the winter. Saving energy is also a climate deed

Where can you find the most up-to-date information to support your organisation’s activities? Where would you like the information to be found?
HYY is mapping out the needs, habits and wishes regarding communication from organisational actors with a communication survey. The answers are given anonymously, and they are used to support the development of HYY’s communication.
