Get your year tag from the City Centre campus or Kumpula
NEWS
If you have already registered for attendance for the new academic term, you can come pick up a new year tag for your plastic student card!
HYY and the University of Helsinki will be setting up year tag distribution points on the City Centre campus and in Kumpula at the end of August and beginning of September. The opening hours of HYY’s Services Office have also been extended during September.
The year tag is used to check the validity of your student status from the plastic student card. The tag needs to be picked up in person or by using a power of attorney. If your student card has a payment feature, the year tag is only handed over personally to the owner of the card. This means that the card cannot be sent by post either.
Year tags are given to students who have registered for attendance and paid HYY’s membership fee. Students of the University of Helsinki can register for the academic year 2025–2026 until Monday 1 September 2025. HYY’s membership fee is paid in connection with the registration. Please note that your payment might not be registered immediately!
