HYY Pop Up 2026 (goes Crowning of Manta)

Ping! The FUTURE is calling!

We just wanted to let you know that people from HYY will be touring the campuses of the University of Helsinki during Students’ Mental Health Week 9–12 March. Come chat about the future with us!

We will start with the very near future: May Day. During the Pop Up event, you can come and try Manta’s cap on your own head, relax while the waves of the Baltic Sea splash around you or make your own Baltic Sea promise (you will get an overall badge in exchange for your promise!).

We are also asking students at the University of Helsinki for their thoughts on the future. What does the Finland of the future look like to you?

Come and meet us on your home campus to try on the cap, discuss the future and let us know what is on your mind!

  • 9 March, 11 am–1 pm: Viikki campus, Biocentre 2, 2nd floor
  • 10 March, 11 am–1 pm: Kumpula campus, Exactum
  • 11 March, 11 am–1 pm: Meilahti campus, Haartman Institute
  • 12 March, 11 am–1 pm: City Centre campus, Main Building, Fuksi

Safety

HYY’s principles of safer space are in effect at the event. At HYY’s events, you can participate in discussions and activities without fear of inappropriate treatment or harassment. Safe space is created in the interaction between people, and each one of us is responsible for this.

There is no separately designated person in charge of event safety at the event. If you observe any shortcomings related to safety or encounter inappropriate behaviour at the event, you can contact the event organisers. You can identify the organisers by their HYY pins.

You can also report any problems or misconduct you encounter later using HYY’s general form for reporting problems and misconduct. Your report will be processed confidentially by a team consisting of members of HYY’s personnel. The team provides advice on themes related to legal protection, equality, discrimination and harassment, for instance. We will respond to your report within five working days.

Videos and photography: Video- and photographers will be present at the event. The photos and videos will be used in HYY’s communication and marketing. If you do not want to be seen in the photos, please inform the photographer directly and avoid posing for the camera if possible. You can also contact us by email at some[at]hyy.fi.
