1. Join the Helsinki Pride Parade with us on Saturday 28 June!

We will meet up in front of the Porthania building of the University of Helsinki tentatively at 11:30 am. The schedule will be confirmed closer to the parade. Organisations can sign up for the meetup using a form until 23 June. You can read more about the parade on the Helsinki Pride website.

2. Reservation rounds for Alina Hall and Sivistys sauna for autumn 2025 have started!

We organise reservation rounds twice a year for both Alina Hall and Sivistys sauna. During these rounds, organisations operating under HYY can reserve these facilities for their use.

Organisations participating in the reservation rounds must familiarize themselves with the instructions for the facility they are reserving before their reservation takes place. Instructions for using HYY’s festive and meeting facilities can be found in the HYY organisational info bank (login jarjesto.info@hyy.fi, password Alinasali123!). An organisation may be granted one reservation for Alina and one for Sivistys during the reservation rounds. Any remaining free time slots can be reserved through HYY’s Services Office after the second actual reservation round.

Before participating in the reservation rounds, organisations must check available time slots in the electronic booking calendar.

3. Operating grants for 2025

HYY’s operating grants for 2025 have been allocated. You can check the size of the grant awarded to your organisation along with any additional observations on the grant from the decision on operating grants available in HYY’s data bank for organisations. Log in with the username ‘jarjestoinfo@hyy.fi’ and password “Alinasali123!”. Please note that you will not be able to log in if you are already logged in to the University’s services on the same browser. I recommend using a different browser or the incognito mode. More detailed information on each applicant’s points and the amount of grant awarded to them has also been sent out to organisations by email. 4. Would you like to showcase your organisation’s activities to new students in autumn 2025?

HYY is organising or involved in the organisation of three events aimed at new students, and organisations are very welcome to get involved too:

• Check-in Event, 27–28 August
• The Opening Carnival, 1 September
• The Fresher Adventure, 24 September

You can use one form to sign up for the events of your choice all at once – and update your details later if needed. Registration using the form is open until 11.59 pm on 17 August.
