2. Respond to our survey concerning remote activities by 6 September
Has your organisation come up with good ways to maintain communality and create encounters using remote connections? Let us know about them so that we will get to spread the word – respond to our survey by 6 September! With the help of your responses, HYY will cooperate with the Teachers’ Academy to try and create practices the University could use in teaching to strengthen communal studying and interaction among the University community in exceptional situations, too. For this purpose, HYY may hand over the survey responses to the University.
3. Registration for checkpoint hosts for the Fresher Challenge is still open until Sunday
Does your organisation miss the exciting atmosphere of events and encounters with new people? The Fresher Challenge is a great way to meet freshers and introduce them to your activities in a memorable way. Read more and sign up as a checkpoint host for the most entertaining fresher event of the autumn by 30 August.

4. Volunteer – start your autumn with us at Restart on 15 September!
Would you like to get encouragement, support and new ideas for kickstarting the autumn’s activities? Join us at Restart, the event that helps you ease gently back to volunteering after the summer holiday. At the event, you will get to hear thought-provoking speeches, learn new practical skills, focus on tackling the challenges created by an ever-changing operating field and muse upon the benefits of acting as a volunteer.
5. Environmental Committee challenger all organizations to take part in the Zero Waste September –challenge!
HYY Environmental Committee challenges all the organizations under HYY to take part in the Zero Waste September challenge inspired by Zero Waste Finland!
This year’s theme is “reuse what you already have”. We challenge you to tell us how your organization reuses existing materials.
The most commendable performance will be awarded with a diploma and 100 euros. Another diploma and 50 euros will be raffled between the participating organizations.
