1. Contact details form for organisations 2025

Organisations operating under HYY must annually submit their up-to-date contact details to the Student Union. In addition to submitting the contact details, this form can be used to sign up your officials for our various email lists as well as to update your organisation’s introduction texts.

Notice! You must fill in the contact details before applying for operating grants!

2. Apply for HYY’s operating grant for 2025!

Student organisations play an important role in building a sense of community and being part of students’ everyday lives. That is why HYY wants to support the activities of the organisations operating under HYY with a financial operating grant.

Any organisation operating under HYY is eligible to apply for an operating grant. Before applying, please read the conditions for the grant and its use, and the operating grant allocation model. Please also remember to fill in the information form for organisations, as this is a prerequisite for the grant.

The application period for the operating grant is 1–31 March 2025. The application form closes on 29 March 2025. We will not process late applications.

To apply for an operating grant, fill in the application form. We will send an invitation link to the application form to each organisation operating under HYY. If your organisation has not received an invitation link by 1 March, please contact HYY’s specialist in organisations (janne.salokoski@hyy.fi).

3. Join the HYY Organisation Info Telegram-channel

The channel provides quick and efficient information on current issues. By subscribing to the channel, you will be informed immediately when there is new information about the renovation of the New Student House, when the booking rounds for Alina Hall start or when there is only one hour left to fill in the organisation premise application.

4. Try out HYY’s new data bank for organisations

The data bank for organisations features a collection of guides, instructions and training material to help you with organisational activities. Among other information, the data bank includes an annual schedule for associations’ operation, basic information on good administration, instructions for individual officials and information on promoting equality in associations. You can access the data bank with the username jarjesto.info@hyy.fi and the password ‘Sitruunapuu1234’. Some material may be incomplete, and translations in particular are still missing. Feedback on the material can be submitted by email to janne.salokoski@hyy.fi.

5. HYY’s contact persons for faculties are here for you!

Do you already know your faculty’s contact person on HYY’s Board? HYY is piloting contact persons for faculties this year with the aim of fostering cooperation between faculties and the Student Union. The contact persons for faculties provide a low-threshold option to contact us about any questions related to HYY that you may have! The Board’s contact details are available on HYY’s website.

6. HYY helps with organisation’s communication

Are you organising a large, interdisciplinary project? Are you thinking about how you could reach out to students a little more widely?

All organisations operating within HYY can register their events on the HYY events calendar. Please use the event registration form to register your event. HYY’s communication sector will review the announced events before publication.

All organisations operating within HYY for an Instagram takeover for their stories. Takovers often require arrangement in the HYY communications calendar, and not all requests can be accommodated. However, it is worth asking for a takeover!

HYY’s communication sector also supports organisations by offering advice and tips when needed. Let’s get in touch!

7. Order overall badges from Kangasmerkit.com!

Organisations operating under HYY receive a 7.5 % discount on the normal price and delivery without express delivery surcharge. To order, email info@kangasmerkit.com, mention the order code “merkit ❤” to take advantage of the discount!

8. Would you like to sell your organisation’s overall badges through HYY’s Services Office?

Does your organisation have gorgeous overall badges but no opportunities to sell them? We have a solution for you! HYY is launching an overall badge brokerage service, allowing organisations operating under it to have their badges sold at HYY’s Services Office. HYY will take a 10% commission on sold badges to cover the costs caused by the brokerage. Sales revenue will be paid to the organisations twice a year.

9. Sign up to Flora!

This year, Flora will be celebrated in a new way: the event is organised simultaneously at the New Student House and Domus Gaudium from 6 to 10 pm on 15 May. You can sign up until 20 April. You will also have the option of editing the form after signing up, so you do not need to know what activity you will be hosting when signing up.

On May 6, we are organizing a training session at Wilhelmsson Hall focusing on event safety personnel and crisis communication. The event will also include an introduction to HYY’s autumn events along with key tips. Join us and approach the freshman autumn confidently and competently! Follow our communication channels to learn more.
