Volunteer in the Freshman Adventure 2015!

The Student Union of the University of Helsinki will organise Finland's largest freshman event on Wednesday, 30 Sept. Join us to welcome new students and volunteer in the Freshman Adventure!

What is the Freshman Adventure?
Freshman teams tour the checkpoints of HYY, student organisations and the university. Approximately 2,000 adventurers participate in the contest. The event starts at Kaivopiha, from where the teams spread around the city and gather together at the afterparty at The Circus in the evening. Further information and the event schedule are available at

Why participate?
The Freshman Adventure offers you the opportunity to participate in the making of the most important event of the freshman autumn and you can show freshmen all the amazing things that the student life can offer. Volunteers also receive drink vouchers and free admission to the afterparty at the Circus where the performers include Roope Salminen & Koirat as well as DJs Skenikswee and Ottopetteri. In addition, a thank-you evening is organised for volunteers on Friday, 9 Oct, from 5pm onwards and you can also receive a certificate on your volunteer work.

What is required from the volunteers?
Each volunteer has an approximately four-hour shift between 1pm-12midnight in a separately agreed position. An info session for all volunteers is held on Thursday, 24 Sept, 5pm-7pm. It is compulsory to participate in the info session.

The call for volunteers will end at 12noon on Thursday, 17 Sept, and all volunteers will be contacted on Friday, 18 Sept.

This year, the Freshman Adventure will be bigger and more incredible than ever, so participate and enjoy the freshman hullabaloo!
