The Student Union rewards this year’s best teacher who teaches in a foreign language at the University of Helsinki. Have you come across a brilliant lecturer, a dedicated supervisor or an otherwise excellent teacher who teaches in a language other than Finnish or Swedish? If yes, suggest him/her to the Student Union.
The student union board will make the decision with special attention to student-friendliness, expertise and ability to highlight essential issues, positive attitude towards developing, and giving and receiving constructive criticism.
Any member or a member organisation of the academic community can make suggestions. The suggestions in written form must include justification on why the candidate fulfills the given criteria, as well as name the instance making the suggestion. The candidates must be in a teaching position at the University of Helsinki. The suggestions may include examples, relevant prior recognitions or other applicable samples of the candidate’s merits.
The award will be presented at the Rector’s international reception on 11 November. The suggestions should be made by November 3.
Written suggestions with justifications must be delivered to HYY by Monday, 3.11.2014 at noon to the following address: HYY/Board, Mannerheimintie 5 A, 2. krs, 00100 HELSINKI or via email to the address kirjaamo(at)hyy.fi.
